Abstract
This study aims to use computers to analyze the range of jaw movement in adolescents with disc displacement without reduction and with limited opening. Collected 30 adolescent patients (12~18 years old) whose average age is 15.79±2.17 years old,and women accounted for 80%.The mean value of MAR of mouth-opening exercise was 1.28 before treatment, 1.56 after treatment, one month after treatment is1.66, and three months of 1.68. There was a significant difference between the values(P<0.05), indicating that the range of mouth opening was significantly improved after injection treatment, and the change after treatment immediately was the most obvious, and it stabilized after a month. The mean value of MAR of lateral movement was 1.37 before treatment, 1.44 after treatment, 1.47 for one month, and 1.41 for three months. There are significant differences in the data(P<0.05). Lateral movement improved after treatment. The average value of MAR of the extensional motion was 1.32 before treatment, 1.36 after treatment, 1.36 for one month, and 1.37 for three months, significant difference between the values(P<0.05). After treatment, the range of extension motion increased and remained relatively stable. The methods of using smart phones to shoot videos and computer-aided analysis can display the range of patient's mandibular marginal movement accurately, which is more objective and comprehensive than traditional measurement methods. In clinical, it is possible to record and save patient-related data better, and compare the efficacy of the treatment.
